Before a single box goes to print, your artwork needs the right foundation underneath it. That foundation is a dieline, and our packaging templates give you one built to the exact style, size, and material you have chosen. Every template is free, print-ready, and made specifically for your order, so your logo, text, and graphics land exactly where you want them once the box is folded and assembled. Design on a generic file and you risk a logo sitting on a crease, product details getting trimmed at the cut line, or a whole print run coming back wrong. A template removes that guesswork before it costs you money.
A packaging template, also called a dieline, is a flat 2D blueprint of your box before it gets folded. It maps every cut, every fold, every glue tab, and every panel on a single vector file. Lay it out flat and you are looking at the exact shape that will be cut from the board.
Think of it as a map of your finished box. The front panel, the back panel, the side flaps, the tuck tabs, the dust flaps, and the glue seam all sit in fixed positions. When you place your design on top of that map, you can see precisely what appears on the front of the box, what wraps around the side, and what ends up hidden underneath a flap.
We supply every template as a layered vector file so you can build your artwork directly on it without losing sharpness at any size.
Most artwork problems we see come from the same place: a design created in isolation and then forced onto a box afterward. Here is what that costs you.

Artwork landing on folds.
A logo that looks perfect flat can end up split across a crease line once the box is assembled.

Content getting cut off.
Anything sitting too close to the trim edge can disappear during die cutting.

Panels in the wrong order.
Without a dieline it is easy to put your back panel content on a side flap.

Extra revision rounds.
Every corrected file pushes your delivery date back. Our standard turnaround is 12 to 14 business days from artwork approval, so the clock only starts once your files are right.
Starting with a template keeps your project moving and protects your print budget.
You do not need to hunt through a generic download library and hope something fits. We build your template around your order. Here is how to get yours.
Browse the Style Catalog and pick the structure that suits your product.
Send us your internal length, width, and depth. Not sure how to take them? Follow our guide on how to measure a box.
Cardboard, kraft, corrugated, and rigid all behave differently, and your template will reflect that.
Windows, handles, inserts, hang tabs, and perforations all change the dieline, so mention them upfront.
We send your dieline over free of charge, built to your specs and ready for your artwork.
Your dieline uses a standard set of line markings so you know exactly what each one does. Read them before you start designing.
The dieline sits on its own layer. Leave it there. Flattening it or merging it into your artwork layer is one of the fastest ways to cause a production error. For full file preparation rules, including color mode, font sizing, and image resolution, see our Artwork Guidelines.

Material thickness changes the math. A template that works on cardboard will not work unchanged on corrugated, because the board itself eats into your interior space.

Cardboard for retail boxes with clean folds and sharp printing.

Kraft for a natural, recyclable finish in bleached or unbleached stock.

Corrugated for shipping strength, with flute thickness factored into the dieline.

Rigid for premium wrapped construction, which is built differently from folded board.
Follow these rules and your file will move straight into production.
Not every brand has a designer on hand, and you do not need one to order from us. Our in-house design team is included at no cost. Send us your logo, your brand colors, and a rough idea of what you want, and they will build the artwork on the correct template for you.
Before anything goes to press you will receive a 3D proof showing exactly how your finished packaging will look, so you can approve it or request changes while it is still free to do so.
Getting your packaging templates sorted early is the cheapest insurance you can buy on a print run. Send us your style, size, and material and The Custom Pack will build your dieline for free, check your artwork against it, and back the whole order with a minimum of just 100 units, free US shipping, and a price-beat guarantee of up to 20% if you find a better quote elsewhere.
